These two are closer than most pairs on this site, because both have a morning habit at their centre. Copreneur.ai, from Fixer of the North, calls itself the AI co-founder that shows up every morning. Nautis has a Chief of Staff that generates a briefing at 7:00 am. A founder comparing them is really asking how much of the company the morning message should cover.
Copreneur's own framing is sharp: you have a two-year vision and a to-do list, with nothing in between. Details below come from Copreneur's home, pricing and about pages as they stood in October 2026. Both products cost $49 a month at one level, which makes the choice cleaner.
The same morning, two different messages
Copreneur's sample morning shows one line: write the launch landing page copy, because the launch is in 12 days and nothing else unblocks it. It estimates about 90 minutes, ties the task to a goal, and tells you what to drop this week. In the afternoon it checks in and asks whether you're still on track.
A Nautis morning is a list. Items are grouped as Priorities, Blockers, Approvals, Pipeline, Today and Runway, each with a Critical or Attention pill, and each opens the module it came from. An overdue invoice sits beside an unanswered investor. You act on an item with Do it, Ask Commodore, Mark done, Snooze until tomorrow or Dismiss.
Neither is simply better. A single line respects scarce attention, and for a person working alone it may be exactly right. A grouped list respects the fact that a company with staff and investors has more than one thing going wrong at once. Nautis's briefing is also per organization, so it's the company's day rather than yours personally.
What Copreneur does that Nautis doesn't try to do
Copreneur's real product is pushback. It says it asks the hard questions a good co-founder would, flags what you keep avoiding and calls out work that doesn't serve your goals. In its example, it tells you that redesigning the logo feels like progress and doesn't move the launch. Its founder writes that it came from watching general chat tools drift toward whatever was discussed most recently, losing long-term goals along the way.
Each Monday it audits goals and projects, flagging missed deadlines and stale work. It also researches your market for news and competitor moves relevant to your goals. On Pro it reads your Gmail and reviews your calendar so the day gets planned around what's booked, and you can speak a message instead of typing it.
Nautis has neighbours to this. Priority sliders tune what the briefing ranks highly. The Decision Loop journals your big calls and asks you to review them. Advisors will give an opinion if you ask. But nothing in its guides is designed to catch you avoiding something and say so, and if accountability is the gap you feel, that's a real point for Copreneur.
What Nautis covers that Copreneur's pages don't list
Copreneur's pages describe goals, projects, tasks, email and calendar. They don't list these records, which is fine for its purpose but decides things for a company that needs them:
- A fundraising pipeline with rounds, deals, stages and approved follow-ups
- Runway from a monthly cash, MRR and burn check-in, with alerts
- Invoices, expenses and a financial planner
- A leads CRM, contacts and custom forms
- Data rooms, document signing and a credentials vault
- Employee records, team chat and role-based permissions
Nautis agents can also act, within limits. They can draft and send email, update records and work in connected apps, with changes held for review unless an owner or admin has set that capability to Run without asking. Copreneur's pages emphasise deciding and thinking rather than taking outside actions, and sending on your behalf isn't listed on the pages we read.
Plans and limits, as of October 2026
| Plan | Price | Key limits | Fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Copreneur Starter | $25 | 1 long-term goal, 2 projects, 10 concurrent tasks | One focused venture |
| Copreneur Pro | $49 | Unlimited goals, projects and tasks. Reads email and calendar | Several projects or ventures |
| Copreneur Team | $99, not yet available | Shared goals, workload balancing across a team | Not on sale yet |
| Nautis Launch | $49 | 5 team members, 1,000 AI credits, 5 routines | Solo founder or small team |
| Nautis Voyage | $99 | 10 team members, 2,000 AI credits, cap table | Mid-size startup |
| Nautis Fleet | $129 | 25 team members, 2,600 AI credits | Bigger startups |
At $49, the two are the same price for different things. Copreneur Pro gives one person unlimited goals plus email and calendar reading. Nautis Launch gives up to five people a set of operating modules with an AI credit cap, though not the cap table, and with tighter limits on investor deals and lead pipelines (see /pricing). Copreneur also has a cheaper way in at $25, which Nautis doesn't match.
Copreneur's trial is 7 days and shows $0 today. Its pages don't say whether a card is needed. Nautis's trial is 14 days with no card. Copreneur says setup takes about 5 minutes, and Liftoff in Nautis takes about four, though the Nautis briefing needs more data than that before it says much.
Is Nautis vs Copreneur really about team size?
Mostly, yes. Copreneur's description says AI co-founder for solo founders, and its team plan isn't available yet. So once a second or third person needs to share goals, Copreneur's published plans don't cover them today. Nautis starts counting at five team members on its lowest plan, so a team can start together on day one.
The exception is the solo founder who is raising. Say you work alone on a SaaS product with 60 customers, you've begun talking to angels, and you're tracking conversations in a spreadsheet. Copreneur can keep you pointed at the right task. It can't, from what's listed, hold the investor pipeline or tell you how long your cash lasts. There, Nautis may suit you despite being solo, and our solo founders page sets out what you'd give up and what you'd get. If you aren't raising and don't have staff, most of Nautis's modules wouldn't earn their keep.
Where Copreneur wins
- One clear answer. It names a single task and a thing to drop, instead of a ranked list you still have to think about.
- It's built to disagree with you. Being challenged is its stated purpose.
- Memory of your decisions. It says it remembers every conversation and decision across weeks and months, per person.
- Low effort and low cost. Five minutes of setup and a $25 starting price are hard to argue with.
- Privacy stated plainly. It says goals, tasks and conversations are only accessible to you, and it doesn't sell data or train AI models on it.
Where Nautis wins, and where it doesn't
Nautis wins when the morning list has to come from real company records and when someone other than you needs to see them. It's also the one to pick if you want the AI to prepare and carry out work behind approvals, and not only advise. The Chief of Staff overview lists what it scans.
It loses on simplicity. A workspace with dozens of modules takes more care than an app with goals and tasks. Having gone public only in July 2026, it has little outside review behind it. Someone must clear the approval queue, because capabilities default to asking every time. It has no coaching method either: it won't teach or enforce a way of working.
Three quick checks before you decide
- Count who needs access this quarter. If it's just you, lean toward Copreneur. If it's three or more, lean toward Nautis.
- Look at the last thing you dropped. If it was a task you avoided, Copreneur addresses that. If it was a record nobody was watching, such as an invoice or a follow-up, Nautis does.
- Ask whether you'll raise money in the next six months. If so, you'll want investor and runway records soon, whichever you start with.
FAQ
Which is better for a solo founder in Nautis vs Copreneur?
For a solo founder who isn't raising and mainly wants focus, Copreneur is the closer fit and costs less at $25. A solo founder who is raising, or who invoices customers, may get more from Nautis because it holds those records. Both offer a trial, so try the one nearest your actual problem.
How much does Copreneur cost?
As of October 2026 Starter is $25 a month and Pro is $49 a month, in USD, with a 7-day trial. A Team plan at $99 is listed but marked as not yet available.
Does Copreneur read my email?
On the Pro plan, yes. Its pricing page says it reads your email and reviews your calendar so the day is planned around what's already booked. Its homepage names Gmail. Those features aren't listed on Starter.
Does Nautis tell you the one thing to do today?
Not as a single task. Its briefing groups items into Priorities, Blockers, Approvals, Pipeline, Today and Runway, and you can tune the ranking with sliders. If you want one instruction and nothing more, Copreneur's format is closer.
Can a team use Copreneur?
Its Team plan, with shared goals and workload balancing, was marked as not yet available on the pages we read in October 2026. Check its pricing page for changes. Nautis's three plans cover 5, 10 or 25 people.
