We make Nautis, so don't read this as a review. A review comes from someone with no stake in the result, and there are few of those yet. Read this as the case we'd make if you asked us across a table, including the reasons you might say no.
You won't find testimonials or customer numbers here. The useful evidence is what happens on your own data, so this page ends with a plan for the 14-day trial and a simple rule for deciding at the end.
What is Nautis?
Nautis is the AI business operating system for startups, with an AI Chief of Staff that runs daily operations and asks before it acts.
In practice, that means two things. First, a workspace with modules for the jobs a small company does: planning, fundraising, finance, sales, operations and team. Second, a Chief of Staff that reads those records, sends a ranked Briefing at 7:00 am in your organization's timezone, and prepares follow-up work. Anything it wants to do waits in an Approval Center unless an owner or admin has changed that capability's setting.
It's built for startups, and everything on this page assumes a small team where a few people do many jobs. For the category itself, read startup operating system or AI business operating system.
What you get for the money
The breadth is the main selling point and also the main risk. You get many modules on one bill, and few of them will match the best specialist in that function.
| Area | Modules | What it does in practice |
|---|---|---|
| Company | Business profile, Brand kit, Startup journey | A shareable profile, your brand assets, and a guided timeline of stages and tasks |
| Strategy | Business plans, SWOT, GTM planner, Task boards, Outcome workflows, Learning engine | Turns goals into boards and tasks, and learns from their results |
| Fundraising | Find investors, Fundraising CRM, Investor readiness, Cap table, Equity calculator, Pitch deck analyzer, AI voice coach, Video pitches | Investor search, a pipeline per round, a go or no-go readiness answer, and pitch practice |
| Finance | Startup Health, Financial planner, Invoices, Expenses | Runway from a monthly check-in, projections, customer invoices and expense tracking |
| Sales and marketing | Leads CRM, Contacts, Custom forms, Social calendar, URL shortener | A sales pipeline, a shared address book, and campaign basics |
| Operations | Email inbox, Meetings and scheduling, Notes, Sheets, Docsign, Data rooms, Credentials vault | Replaces several light general-purpose tools |
| Team | Employee management, Jobs and recruitment, Team chat, Burnout radar, Decision Loop | A people directory with pay runs, hiring pipeline, messages, a private wellness check-in, and a record of decisions and their results |
| AI | Chief of Staff, AI Advisory Board, custom advisors, integrations | The Briefing, approvals, specialist advisors, and actions in tools you connect |
Connect Slack, Notion, Linear, GitHub, Gmail and more than 1,000 others through a managed catalog, or connect Nautis to Claude or ChatGPT through an MCP connector. On workspaces where Nautis has switched it on, you can also use the Chief of Staff on WhatsApp in English, Hindi or Hinglish. It isn't available on every workspace yet, so don't choose Nautis for that reason alone.
Nautis pricing: plans and limits
Three startup plans run from $49 to $129 a month as of October 2026. The limits matter as much as the price, and the differences between Launch and Voyage are bigger than the $50 gap suggests. The pricing page has the full live table.
| Detail | Launch | Voyage | Fleet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stated for | Solo founder | Mid-size startup | Bigger startups |
| Monthly | $49 | $99 | $129 |
| Yearly | $490 | $990 | $1,290 |
| India, monthly | ₹3,999 | ₹8,999 | ₹11,999 |
| Team members | 5 | 10 | 25 |
| AI credits a month | 1,000 | 2,000 | 2,600 |
| Chief of Staff routines | 5 | 10 | 15 |
| Cap table and equity calculator | Not included | Included | Included |
| Evening debrief | Not included | Included, off by default | Included, off by default |
| Leads pipelines and investor deals | Limited, see pricing | Higher limit | Higher limit |
What the limits mean
- Launch is narrower than its price suggests. Leads pipelines and investor deals are limited on Launch, so check the pricing page and the App Usage tab during the trial. Many companies that are selling or raising will need Voyage, so budget $99 and not $49.
- Team members is a hard total. It counts active members and pending invites, and it doesn't reset. There's no plan above 25 people for startups in this table.
- AI credits are metered. Chat, voice and custom advisors use them. There's no fixed cost per message, because it depends on length and context. At zero, sending is blocked until the reset or a top-up, and there's no overage charge. The Briefing itself still arrives, with a plain headline.
- Yearly gives 2 months free. That's a saving of $98, $198 or $258 a year by plan. Regional pricing may apply in some countries, and the pricing page shows what applies to you.
Trial and cancelling
The 14-day trial needs no card and starts on Launch. There is no free tier to fall back on, so you need a paid plan to continue after it. If you cancel a paid plan, you keep access until the period you've paid for ends, and the current period isn't refunded. Upgrades apply straight away and downgrades at the end of the period.
Is Nautis worth it for your company?
Most of the answer depends on how many jobs the same few people are covering. Find your situation below.
| Your situation | Verdict | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Solo or two founders, raising and selling, tools scattered | Worth testing | The most to gain from one view. Budget for Voyage. See solo founders. |
| Seed startup of 5 to 25 with no operations hire | Worth testing | The Briefing covers what nobody has time to watch. See seed-stage startups. |
| Operator or human chief of staff at a small startup | Worth testing | A first pass before the day starts. See chiefs of staff. |
| Bootstrapped, happy with free versions of a few tools | Probably not yet | $49 a month is real money against $0, and there's no free version. See bootstrapped startups. |
| You only want help with email | No | You'd pay for many modules you won't use. An assistant focused on email and meetings is a simpler fit, though not always cheaper: Fyxer lists $49 per person a month for Pro, plus a $0 plan. See Nautis vs Fyxer. |
| Committed to EOS or a similar method | No | Nautis has no EOS or OKR tooling. See Nautis vs Ninety. EOS® is a trademark of EOS Worldwide. |
| A sales team that lives in its CRM | No, for that function | A dedicated CRM goes deeper. Nautis covers pipeline basics. |
| Need bookkeeping, tax filing or statutory payroll | No, for those | Nautis isn't an accounting system or a payroll provider. It tracks pay cycles and payouts, but it doesn't move money or handle statutory filings, so keep those providers and your accountant. |
| More than 25 people, or complex permissions | Probably not | It's built for startups, and larger companies may fit other tools better. |
| You want AI that runs with no review | No | The default is to ask every time. That's the design, and it takes attention. |
What's unproven
This section matters most if you're looking for a Nautis review, because there isn't much independent material to read. Here's what we can't show you.
- Independent reviews. Nautis launched publicly on Product Hunt in July 2026, and its Product Hunt page listed no reviews when we checked in October 2026. Most of what you can find, including this page, comes from us.
- Scored testing. Nobody has run a scored benchmark of Nautis against other products. Our comparison pages use published information only.
- Long-term track record. A product launched this recently hasn't been through years of pricing changes, outages and growing customers. You'd be an early user, with what that implies for rough edges and for vendor risk.
- Module depth. Each module's guide describes what it does. How well that holds up under heavy use in your function is something only your own trial can answer.
- Value on a thin workspace. The Briefing skips sources with no data, so value grows as the workspace fills up. A team that tests with little in it won't see what the product is for.
- Security reviews. If a customer or investor requires a particular certification, ask us in writing before you commit. Don't assume one from this page.
We also won't suggest that it replaces a lawyer, an accountant, a human chief of staff or a board. Keel, the startup legal advisor, and Anchor, the finance advisor, help you prepare for those conversations. They don't take the place of them.
How to test it in the 14-day trial
Test it with real data and a written pass mark. Since the trial starts on Launch, expect Launch's limits, and you may not be able to try the cap table or a full pipeline. If those decide it for you, ask about them or test them on a paid month.
| Days | Do this | What you're checking |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Run Liftoff: about four minutes with your website or deck, your calendar and your email | How many of the facts it found are right, and whether each shows a source |
| 2 and 3 | Bring in real data: contacts by CSV, leads from a spreadsheet, tasks for this sprint, and a Startup Health check-in with month-end cash, MRR and burn | How long this takes, and what you had to retype |
| 4 to 8 | Read the Briefing every morning. Use Mark done, Snooze until tomorrow and Dismiss honestly. Note each day whether it changed what you did first | Whether the ranking is useful, and whether it improves |
| 5 | Approve one real action with Do it, and read it in the Approval Center first. Then look through Settings → Agent Autonomy | Whether you can see exactly what would be sent |
| 9 | Ask a question that crosses modules, such as what's blocking the raise. Then ask a finance question of the Anchor advisor | Whether answers use your records, and whether you'd act on them |
| 10 | Invite a teammate on a limited role and have them ask the same question | Whether they see only what they should |
| 11 | Open the AI Usage and App Usage tabs | Your projected monthly credit use, and which limits you'd hit, including Investor Deals |
| 12 | Export something from each module you rely on: for example CSV for leads, tasks and expenses | Whether you could leave |
| 13 and 14 | Put the tools you would really cancel into the Tool Tax calculator, then decide | Whether the sums work with honest inputs |
Our suggested rule: pay only if the Briefing changed your first action on at least half the mornings, you trusted what you approved, and you can name tools you'd cancel or work you'd stop doing. If two of those three fail, walk away. A young product shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt. If it passes, pay monthly for a quarter before you take a yearly plan, for the same reason.
Doing the sums honestly
Count only what you'd really cancel. Say you'd drop Notion Plus at $10 a member and HubSpot Sales Hub Starter at its normal $20 a seat, as listed in October 2026. For three people on Notion and two on HubSpot, that's $70 a month, which doesn't cover Voyage at $99 alone. You'd need to replace more tools, or value the Briefing and the connected records at the remaining $29.
That's a fair way to think about it. If the only benefit is cancelling two subscriptions, it probably doesn't pay. If it also stops things being dropped between fundraising, finance and sales, a small monthly difference is easy to justify. We can't put a number on that for you, and we'd be wary of anyone who claimed to. Our startup operating system guide has a fuller cost example, including the case where separate tools are cheaper.
What to compare it with
Read at least one of these before you decide. Each says where Nautis is weaker.
| If you're mainly after | Compare |
|---|---|
| An AI agent across your existing tools | Lindy, Sintra |
| A general AI assistant | ChatGPT, Claude |
| AI scheduling and task management | Motion |
| A flexible workspace | Notion, ClickUp |
| A management framework in software | Ninety, Bloom Growth, Strety |
| Invoicing and accounting for a small business | Wave |
| A survey of the field | All-in-one software for startups, AI chief of staff tools |
FAQ
Is Nautis worth it for a solo founder?
It can be, if you're juggling a raise, sales and your runway, and you'll keep that work in one place. Budget for Voyage at $99 a month as of October 2026 if you need a real sales or investor pipeline, because Launch at $49 limits both. If you're only building and using free versions of a few tools, it probably isn't worth it yet.
How much does Nautis cost?
Launch is $49 a month, Voyage is $99 and Fleet is $129, as of October 2026, and yearly plans give 2 months free. India pays in rupees at ₹3,999, ₹8,999 and ₹11,999 a month. Regional pricing may apply elsewhere, so check the pricing page.
Does Nautis have a free version?
No. There is a 14-day trial with no card, starting on the Launch plan, and you need a paid plan to continue afterwards. That makes it more expensive than single-purpose tools that have a no-cost option, so test it properly during those two weeks.
Are there independent Nautis reviews?
Very few so far. Nautis launched publicly on Product Hunt in July 2026, and its page there showed no reviews when we checked in October 2026. Nobody has published a scored benchmark, so the most reliable evidence is your own trial.
What are the main downsides of Nautis?
It's young, it covers many functions at less depth than specialists, AI credits are capped by plan, and approvals need someone's attention. It has no EOS or OKR method and isn't an accounting system or a payroll provider. It also depends on your data, so a thin workspace produces a thin briefing.
Can Nautis replace my accountant or lawyer?
No. Nautis covers runway, planning, invoices and expenses, and it isn't an accounting system or a payroll provider. Its advisors can help you prepare questions and think through options, but you still need qualified people for legal, tax and financial decisions.
