If your only complaint is that you open email at 7:00 am and close it at 11:00 am with nothing built, you can skip most of this page. Fyxer was designed for exactly that. Nautis also has an email client and AI reply tools, but buying a whole business operating system to fix an inbox would be poor value.
The comparison only gets interesting when email is one of several things slipping, which is common at a seed-stage startup.
What each one reads, and what that lets it do
A tool can only help with what it can see, so start there. Fyxer connects to Gmail or Outlook, Google or Outlook Calendar, and meeting tools such as Zoom, Teams and Google Meet. It also lists Slack, HubSpot, Claude and ChatGPT. Other features sit across those: a morning briefing, Spaces that hold a client's status and calls, and Flows such as drafting an agenda an hour before a meeting.
Nautis reads its own modules: MailBox, task boards, leads, investors, Startup Health, invoices, meetings and approvals. The first group gives Fyxer rich knowledge of conversations. The second gives Nautis knowledge of numbers and status, such as how much runway remains or which deal has gone cold.
Nautis vs Fyxer on email itself
This is Fyxer's home ground, and the published detail shows it. Fyxer's job is to work inside your existing inbox. Nautis's MailBox is a separate email client you'd open instead.
| Feature | Fyxer | Nautis |
|---|---|---|
| Where it works | In your Gmail or Outlook | MailBox inside Nautis, connected to Gmail, Outlook or IMAP |
| Sorting | Inbox labeling on Pro and above | Folders and labels; assign threads to teammates; an Inbox Triage routine sorts unread threads on a schedule |
| Reply drafts | Prepared in your tone and left in your inbox | Suggest reply on request, plus Draft from prompt and Rewrite tone |
| Summaries | Daily email briefing | Summarize thread with an Action needed line, automatic on longer threads |
| Does AI send on its own? | No. Fyxer's FAQ says you decide what gets sent | Chief of Staff sends ask first by default; an admin can set that capability to Run without asking |
| Meeting notes | Built-in notetaker, with audio on the $0 tier | Shown from Fathom, Fireflies or Read.ai once one is connected |
| Meeting scheduling | Agenda flows; booking pages aren't mentioned | Booking pages, availability schedules and event types |
| Team use | Shared Flows, Spaces, assigned follow-up owners on Team | Shared mailboxes, thread assignment, audit log of sends |
The meeting notes row matters most for a founder on many calls. If you want one purchase to record meetings and handle mail, Fyxer does both out of the box, whereas Nautis needs a second tool for recording. Mailbox slots in Nautis vary by plan, and extra slots are billed monthly, so check the live plan table if you run several addresses.
How far do Fyxer's credits go?
Fyxer's 3,000 monthly Pro credits cover a busy month of email and calls, but not much chat on top. Its pricing page publishes the rates, so you can do the sums as of October 2026: inbox sorting costs 0.2 credits per email, recording costs 1 credit per minute, a chat message costs 20 credits, a Flow run costs 5, and deep research costs 175.
Take a founder receiving 100 emails on each of 20 working days, with 15 hours of recorded calls and 60 chat messages. Sorting uses 400 credits, recording 900 and chat 1,200, for 2,500 in total. That leaves 500 for 100 Flow runs, or two deep research jobs with a little to spare. Fyxer's paid plans warn you at 80% and 100%, and then pause sorting first while recording keeps running. As a launch offer, Pro and Team get unlimited credits for the first 3 months, so month four is the one to budget for.
What they cost
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fyxer $0 tier | $0 | $0 | 400 credits, personal use, briefings and audio notes, no sorting or drafts |
| Fyxer Pro | $49 per person | $37 per person | 3,000 credits per person, reply drafts, labeling, recording |
| Fyxer Team | $99 per person | $64 per person | 6,000 credits per person, pooled, plus team reporting and shared controls |
| Fyxer Enterprise | Custom | Custom annual contract | Private cloud, full API, SSO and data residency options |
| Nautis Launch | $49 | $490 a year | 5 team members, 1,000 credits, 5 routines |
| Nautis Voyage | $99 | $990 a year | 10 team members, 2,000 credits, 10 routines, cap table, evening debrief |
| Nautis Fleet | $129 | $1,290 a year | 25 team members, 2,600 credits, 15 routines, cap table, evening debrief |
For one person, Fyxer Pro on annual billing costs $37 a month, about $4 less than Launch on yearly billing, and Fyxer has a $0 option where Nautis has no free tier after its trial. For three people the arithmetic flips: Fyxer Team costs $192 a month on annual billing and $297 on monthly, while Nautis stays at $49. Nautis's cheaper total buys a smaller AI allowance, however, shared across the whole organization. Signing up for Fyxer starts a 14-day Team trial with unlimited credits, then moves you to the $0 tier unless you pay. Nautis gives you 14 days on Launch with no card.
A week of email, and a week of everything else
Imagine a sales-led seed startup with a founder on 25 customer and investor calls a month. Compare the moments where each tool earns its fee.
- Monday, 8:00. Fyxer has labeled the weekend's mail and left six reply drafts. You edit and send them in 20 minutes. Nautis's briefing, meanwhile, says a deal has stalled and burn rose last month, neither of which was in your inbox.
- Tuesday, 3:00. After an investor call, Fyxer has the notes ready. With a transcription tool connected, Nautis shows them on the meeting record, and Add to Task Board turns an action item into a task.
- Wednesday, 11:00. A prospect asks for last quarter's figures. Fyxer can draft the reply, but the figures have to come from you or a connected tool. Nautis can pull them from Startup Health, and you'd still approve what goes out.
- Friday, 4:00. You're preparing the investor update. Nautis holds the numbers in an investor snapshot. Fyxer holds the conversations, so you'd bring the numbers yourself. Writing a first investor update covers what to include either way.
Notice that none of those moments is really in competition. They answer different questions, which is why some founders might use one for each.
Where Nautis is the weaker choice
- Its MailBox AI tools are on-request, and its Inbox Triage routine sorts unread threads and creates tasks, while Fyxer works in the background on every message. Nautis doesn't label your inbox automatically or leave drafts waiting for you.
- You have to leave your normal inbox to use MailBox, and many people won't.
- It doesn't take its own meeting notes.
- Fyxer's homepage shows badges for several named security certifications. The Nautis product guides don't list one, which could matter if you handle regulated client data.
- It launched in July 2026, so there's little independent feedback to read yet.
- Its value depends on your records being inside it. A founder who won't move pipeline and finance data gets little from the briefing.
Who should buy which
Buy Fyxer if your calendar is full of external calls and your email load is the thing that makes you feel behind. It's also the sensible choice for agencies and client-services firms, which often live in the inbox and have little need for a fundraising CRM. Its own example, a Space holding a client's renewal status and last call, fits that pattern.
Buy Nautis if you're a startup founder running several functions yourself, and if the urgent things are spread across pipeline, cash, investors and a team. A Chief of Staff that reads those records answers a different question from an inbox assistant, namely what the company needs from you today.
If neither fits, there are narrower and cheaper email tools that compete with Fyxer.
FAQ
Does Fyxer send emails automatically?
No. Fyxer's pricing FAQ, read in October 2026, says it drafts replies in your inbox and you decide what gets sent. Nautis also asks before sending by default, though owners and admins can set some capabilities to Run without asking.
Can Nautis replace Fyxer?
Only partly. Nautis's MailBox summarizes threads, suggests replies on request and rewrites tone, and an Inbox Triage routine can sort unread threads into needs-reply, FYI and noise, but it doesn't label your inbox or draft in the background the way Fyxer does. If automatic triage in your existing inbox is the main reason you use Fyxer, keep it.
Which costs less, Nautis or Fyxer?
For one person, Fyxer costs less: $37 a month on annual billing as of October 2026, or $0 for a limited tier without sorting or drafts. For a team, Nautis costs less because it charges by plan, at $49 a month covering as many as five people, but with a smaller shared AI allowance. Compare on what you'd actually use, as they do different work.
Can I use Fyxer and Nautis together?
Nothing on either site describes a direct integration, but nothing stops you running them side by side. Keep Fyxer working in your Gmail or Outlook, and use Nautis for pipeline, investors and finance. You'd only be paying twice for meeting scheduling and email summaries you may not need from both.
