Both products read your tools, draft the follow-up and wait for a yes on anything that leaves the building. They start from opposite ends, though. Lindy plugs into what you already use. Nautis asks you to keep the company's records inside it, then works from them.
That one difference shapes the setup, the bill and what a busy week feels like. Everything about Lindy below comes from its own pages as of October 2026. Check the two or three differences that matter most to you during a trial.
What does each product actually do?
Lindy is an AI employee that a whole team shares. Its homepage says it plugs into your tools and learns how you work. You reach it in Slack, iMessage, email or a Chrome extension for Gmail. It ships with more than 40 skills, scheduled routines, meeting notes, phone calls and Watch and Learn, where you show it a task once. Lindy's own examples include clustering support tickets and filing the root cause in Linear, and matching Stripe charges against a ledger.
Nautis is the AI business operating system for startups. It holds modules for fundraising, finance, sales, operations and team, with the Chief of Staff sitting on top. At 7:00 am in your timezone it scans tasks, pipeline, runway, meetings, approvals and overdue invoices, then ranks them into one briefing. It can act in connected apps too, but most of what it knows comes from the records in its own workspace.
A Thursday with a late invoice and a board update
Picture a five-person B2B startup with eight months of runway. On Thursday morning a customer invoice is 20 days late, two investors have gone quiet, and the board expects an update on Monday. Here is how that morning would run on each product, going by what each vendor publishes.
On Lindy
You ask in a Slack channel which invoices are late. Lindy answers in the thread from whatever billing tool you connected, then drafts the reminder, which waits for your approval because it has outside impact. For the board update you'd lean on a skill you taught it, pulling numbers from your analytics and finance tools. Lindy lists daily briefs, nudges and catch-ups as included, with scheduled routines for anything more specific. The investor thread is only as findable as the spreadsheet or inbox it lives in.
On Nautis
The invoice is already in the briefing, marked Attention or Critical, with a Do it button that prepares the reminder. Runway sits in its own group, fed by the monthly Startup Health check-in, which also builds an investor snapshot you can edit for the board. The quiet investors show up if their deals are in the Fundraising CRM. The catch is the same one in reverse: if nobody logged last month's cash, the runway group is skipped and you get a thinner list.
So Lindy assembles its answers and briefs from other systems, and is strongest when those systems are already clean. Nautis pushes a ranked list without being asked, and is strongest when the team has moved its records in. Be honest about which of those describes your company today.
Nautis vs Lindy, feature by feature
Lindy's column comes from its homepage and pricing page. Nautis's comes from its help guides. Where Lindy's pages don't mention something, the table says so, which isn't proof that it's missing.

|---|---|---|
| Where you talk to it | Slack, iMessage, email, Chrome extension | In-app chat, plus WhatsApp on workspaces where Nautis has switched it on |
| Outside tools | 1,500+ integrations plus MCP | 1,000+ apps through a managed catalog, each enabled for agents separately |
| Company records | Memory and team files; other records stay in your tools | Built-in CRM, fundraising, runway, invoices, expenses, task boards, data rooms |

What they cost as of October 2026
The billing models differ more than the headline numbers suggest. Lindy charges per active user, and credits are pooled across the team. Nautis charges per plan, with a cap on team members and a monthly credit allowance.
Lindy's pricing page loaded in two versions when we fetched it repeatedly on one day. One starts Team at $29.99 per active user a month for 3,000 credits, the other at $49.99 for 5,000, and each version is consistent within itself. Its page description says it starts at $29.99 per user per month, and we saw no annual option, so confirm the price at checkout. Credit tiers run up from there, and top-ups cost $10 per 1,000 credits. New users get $50 in credits for 7 days with no card, though the page also says direct signups to a team are billed right away, so read that part before inviting people.
Nautis lists three plans, and you start with a 14-day trial on Launch with no card.
| Plan | List price | Allowance | Cost for four people |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lindy Team, lower version of its pricing page | $29.99 per user a month | 3,000 credits per user | $119.96 a month |
| Lindy Team, higher version of its pricing page | $49.99 per user a month | 5,000 credits per user, pooled | $199.96 a month |
| Nautis Launch | $49 a month or $490 a year | 1,000 credits, 5 team members, 5 routines | $49 a month |
| Nautis Voyage | $99 a month or $990 a year | 2,000 credits, 10 team members, 10 routines | $99 a month |
| Nautis Fleet | $129 a month or $1,290 a year | 2,600 credits, 25 team members, 15 routines | $129 a month |
Don't compare the credit counts. A Lindy credit and a Nautis credit are different units. Lindy publishes a useful guide: everyday asks cost 2 to 250 credits, deep work 250 to 1,000, and big builds 1,000 to 2,500. At those rates, 5,000 credits could buy as few as five deep-work jobs. Nautis meters AI by tokens and audio, and the briefing itself uses very little, while chat, voice and advisors use more. On both products, work that needs credits stops when they run out until the reset or a top-up. Nautis's India pricing and any regional rates are on the pricing page.
Where Lindy is the stronger choice
- Your team lives in Slack. Everyone can @mention one shared assistant in the channels they already use, with no new app to open each day.
- You need reach more than records. It lists 1,500+ integrations and any hosted MCP server. Its FAQ says that where a tool has neither, it can drive a browser on higher plans.
- You want tasks taught by example. Watch and Learn lets you show it a process once, then save it as a skill the whole team gets.
- Phone work matters. Lindy lists phone calls as a feature, and iMessage for reaching it on the move. The Nautis guides cover neither.
- A security review is coming. Its homepage names several security and privacy attestations, and Enterprise adds SSO, SCIM and audit logs. The Nautis product guides don't list a formal certification, so a buyer with a long questionnaire should start the conversation with Lindy.
Where Nautis is weaker
Nautis publicly launched on Product Hunt in July 2026, so few independent reviews exist. You'd be relying on its documentation and your own trial more than on other people's experience.
- It asks more of you upfront. The value depends on moving pipeline, investors and finances into the workspace, and a half-empty workspace produces a short, unremarkable briefing.
- It covers many functions, so a dedicated CRM or project tool will often go deeper than the matching module.
- Approvals take attention. Ask every time is the default, and someone has to clear the queue for anything to happen.
- WhatsApp isn't on every workspace, and actions in connected apps aren't available there yet, so the phone experience is narrower than a tool built around messaging.
- Launch has no cap table or evening debrief, and the investor pipeline is limited on that plan, so founders in the middle of a raise should check the live table first.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose Lindy if your records are in good shape across existing tools, your team is on Slack, and you want automation of specific tasks, such as triaging tickets or closing out meetings. Budget per person.
- Choose Nautis if your problem is that nobody can see the whole company, you're running a raise or watching runway yourself, and you're willing to work from one workspace. See how the AI chief of staff category breaks down if you're unsure what to expect from it.
- Choose neither yet if you only want your email handled. A focused assistant such as Fyxer fits that one job better, though it charges per person at a similar rate.
A fair way to decide is to pick last week's three most annoying operational tasks and run them through a trial of each. Note which one needed less cleanup, then read the other options to Lindy if neither felt right.
FAQ
Is Lindy or Nautis cheaper for a small team?
Usually Nautis, on list price, once a team passes two or three people. Lindy bills every active user, so four people cost $119.96 to $199.96 a month depending on the tier, as of October 2026. Nautis Launch is $49 a month for up to five team members, but that one allowance of 1,000 AI credits is shared by the whole organization.
Will Lindy or Nautis send an email without asking?
By default, neither should. Lindy's pricing page says anything with outside impact, such as sending an email, waits for approval. Nautis defaults to Ask every time, and owners or admins can set a capability to Run without asking if they choose. Both logs and settings are worth checking in a trial.
Does Lindy have a fundraising CRM or runway tracking like Nautis?
Neither appears on the Lindy homepage or pricing page read in October 2026, though it could work with those records if they live in a tool it connects to. Nautis includes a Fundraising CRM and Startup Health as modules. Cap table tools are on its Voyage and Fleet plans.
Can I try both before paying?
Yes. Lindy offers $50 in credits that last 7 days, with no card needed. Nautis offers a 14-day trial on its Launch plan, also with no card, and has no free tier after that. Use real tasks in both, since a demo workspace won't show you how either behaves with your data.
