Nautis vs Visible: who should own your investor relationship

Visible.vc is built for investor updates, metrics and raising. Nautis drafts updates inside a wider workspace. See plans, limits and who should use which.

Summarise

This page is about Visible.vc, the platform for founders and investors, and not the mobile carrier. Visible sells to two audiences. Investors use it for portfolio monitoring, and founders use it to run a raise and keep investors informed between rounds. Nautis has no investor plan, and investor communication is a small part of what it does.

If you came here because a monthly update keeps slipping, the honest news is that either tool can help, and a specialist will give you more control over the update itself. The rest of this page shows what that extra control is, what it costs at each recipient count, and when a broader workspace is worth having instead. Plan details come from Visible's pricing and founder pages, read in October 2026.

What does a good investor update need?

A good update needs three things: numbers you trust, a send you won't skip, and a way to tell who read it. Our guide to your first investor update covers the format, and the investor update generator will draft one for nothing. Software earns its place only if it makes those three things happen every month.

Visible's approach puts the numbers first. You sync KPIs from the tools you already use, keep them on dashboards, and drop live charts into an update, then send by email, link or Slack and see who is reading. Nautis starts from a different place. During Liftoff setup, a fundraising workspace can switch on a Monthly investor update, and the Chief of Staff drafts one each month for you to review. Raise HQ also carries an Investor updates card, marked "shared only when you choose". The draft draws on workspace data, so its quality rises and falls with how much you keep there.

Visible's plans by recipient count

Visible's pricing is a ladder, and recipient count is the first rung to check. These are its founder prices as of October 2026. Investor pricing is separate, and an enterprise offer is available by email.

From Visible's founder pricing page, October 2026. Each price is per month for the plan, billed annually first, then billed monthly. The page sets users as a plan limit and states no per-seat charge.

Visible offers a refund within your first 30 days, and Starter needs no card. A data integration counts per service, so ten Google Sheets count as one. On the Nautis side, the three plans cost $49, $99 and $129 a month, or $490, $990 and $1,290 a year, after a 14-day trial. There is no $0 tier, and Nautis doesn't price by recipient.

Nautis vs Visible on the reporting job

Published features side by side. Where a row says the guides don't describe something, that isn't proof Nautis can never do it, only that it isn't documented.

The investor side deserves attention. If one of your funds already collects portfolio data through Visible, reporting into the same system could save you a step. We can't tell you how that works from the outside, so ask your investor.

A Series A company with 35 investors

Take a 14-person company eight months after its seed. It has 35 investors on its list and sends an update on the fifth of each month. The founder wants revenue, gross margin and logo count charted, and the finance lead keeps those numbers in Google Sheets and Google Analytics.

  1. On Visible Core at $129 a month billed annually, or $149 billed monthly, the sheets and analytics count as two integrations, under the three that Core allows. The update pulls live charts, goes out from the company's domain, and shows who opened it. Investors who go quiet are easy to spot. Visible says the monthly update can take 30 minutes, and one case study on its founder page puts it at an hour or less.
  2. On Nautis Fleet at $129 a month, the same money covers the whole workspace for up to 25 people. The Chief of Staff drafts the update, and the founder reviews it and shares it. The draft sees runway, pipeline and milestones, but the guides don't describe live KPI charts, so charts would be made elsewhere.
  3. The difference for this company is that reporting is a solved habit and the charts are the point. It should stay with Visible unless it is also looking to retire several other tools.

Change one fact and the answer can flip. A five-person pre-seed company with six angels doesn't need charts or a domain. It needs someone to remember to write, and a draft that appears each month may be all the help required.

Where Visible goes further

  • Reporting depth. Live dashboards, dashboard sharing, variance reports and integrations through Zapier and an API sit on its plans. None of that is documented for Nautis.
  • Security controls on data rooms. Secure domain access, watermarking and advanced permissions sit on Growth. Nautis data rooms have passcodes, expiry and download control, and the guide doesn't list watermarks for rooms.
  • A $0 start. Starter sends unlimited updates to 100 investors, which covers most early companies for a long time.
  • Track record. Its founder page says it has worked with 7,000+ founders, raise after raise. Nautis launched publicly in July 2026 and hasn't built that history yet.

Where a wider workspace earns its keep

An update reports on a company, and the records it reports on have to come from somewhere. In Nautis, the Chief of Staff can read pipeline, tasks, runway from Startup Health and meeting action items, because they all live there. The same data drives the 7:00 am briefing, so the items that would embarrass you in next month's update tend to surface before you write it.

That benefit has a price. Empty modules produce a thin draft, credits are capped by plan, and you would be moving company records to get it. If your only pain is the update itself, that is too much change. Tool consolidation only pays when several tools are overlapping at once.

Settling it for your company

  • Stay with or choose Visible if investors already expect charts from you, if you send to more than a handful of people, or if a fund you answer to uses it.
  • Choose Nautis if you're raising at seed and also lack a system for runway, tasks and sales, and a reviewed monthly draft is enough for investor reporting.
  • Run both for a while if you like Visible's reporting and want the wider workspace. Visible's Starter plan costs nothing, so keeping it alongside Nautis carries little risk.
  • Try a free draft first if you have never sent an update. The format matters more than the tool in month one.

FAQ

Which is better for investor updates in Nautis vs Visible?

Visible. It offers recipient lists, live KPI charts, sending from your own domain and read analytics. Nautis can draft a monthly update for you to review, which helps with the habit but offers less control over the finished send.

How much does Visible cost for founders?

As of October 2026 its founder pricing is $0 for Starter, then Base at $59, Core at $129 and Growth at $199 a month on annual billing, or $69, $149 and $249 paid monthly. It gives a refund within the first 30 days.

Is this the Visible phone carrier?

No. This page compares Nautis with Visible.vc, a platform where founders run fundraising and investor updates and where investors monitor portfolios. It has no link to the mobile carrier.

Can Nautis replace Visible?

For a small company with simple updates, it may. For teams that rely on live KPI charts, a data integration or a large recipient list, it won't, because the Nautis guides don't describe those features. Check what your investors expect first.
