Summarise

GoExpand describes itself as a business operating platform for growing teams. Its footer calls it EOS-Compatible software and an Official Licensee of EOS, and states that it is not owned or developed by EOS Worldwide, LLC. EOS® is a trademark of EOS Worldwide, and this page uses the term only to say which method we mean.

Nautis has no EOS tooling at all and doesn't teach any framework. Past that, the two are aimed at different companies: GoExpand's reported customer stories come from plumbing, contracting and commercial services, while Nautis is built for startups raising money. We read GoExpand's platform, pricing, EOS, security and customer pages in October 2026.

Do you already run an operating system?

If you run on EOS, GoExpand is built for you, and Nautis is not. GoExpand offers official terminology and a path it writes as V/TO, Scorecard, Rocks, Level 10 Meetings, Issues and To-Dos. Nautis has no Rocks, no Level 10 agenda, no Scorecard and no accountability chart. You could approximate parts of them on task boards, and we wouldn't recommend it.

If you run some other system, GoExpand's Universal setup says it keeps the same platform and changes the labels, examples and setup to your own language and cadence. That makes it a broader option than tools tied closely to one method. We read that as a real strength for a company with its own way of working.

If you run no system and have fewer than ten people, neither tool's answer is urgent. Read EOS for startups to judge whether a method would help at your size, and be honest about whether you would keep it up.

GoExpand's operating loop

GoExpand organizes itself into five stages. Its pricing page says every core feature is included at every team size, with no limited tier.

GoExpand's stages from its site, October 2026, and the closest thing Nautis offers

Now the things in Nautis with no GoExpand row. Its pages don't list a fundraising pipeline, cap table, deck analysis, runway tracking, invoices, expenses, a sales CRM, a mail inbox, document signing or data rooms. It does name QuickBooks, Asana and Slack among its connections, so finance data may reach it, though its pages don't describe a finance module.

People development is where GoExpand stands apart

This is its most distinctive area, and it goes beyond what we see from most operating-system tools. It says it can use each person's behavioral profile, performance history, roles and engagement signals to prepare reviews and 1:1s. One feature compares a leader's and an employee's profiles to produce a relationship guide, with suggested opening language, coaching questions and what to avoid. The Accountability Chart can expand to show performance, alignment and engagement for each seat.

Nautis covers people very differently. Employee management handles records, pay runs and salary slips, without moving money or making statutory filings. Burnout Radar offers private wellbeing check-ins, which is a narrower thing. Recruitment handles jobs. The guides don't cover formal reviews or coaching at all, so for a growing company whose managers are new to managing, GoExpand has much more to offer.

Its customer page reports results in this area: a 35% year-over-year retention improvement at a plumbing and heating company, and a 75% reduction in recalls at a commercial services firm within 120 days. GoExpand itself says these are anonymized, customer-reported outcomes and not a guarantee. They are also from a very different kind of company from a seed-stage startup, so read them with your own business in mind.

What does each cost as you grow?

GoExpand has one plan with volume tiers. The schedule starts at 5 users, and its pages don't say whether smaller teams can buy or how billing cycles work. Nautis has three flat plans. All figures are list prices, as of October 2026.

Monthly cost if every person needs a GoExpand seat, by our arithmetic from its published per-user, per-month schedule, applying each tier's rate to all users

5$12.97$64.85Launch, $49
10$12.97$129.70Voyage, $99

100$11.97$1,197Above the 25-member cap on Fleet
251$8.97$2,251.47Above the 25-member cap on Fleet

Neither has a $0 tier. GoExpand offers 30 days free with free assisted onboarding, and its signup link goes to a payment setup page, so check whether it needs a card. The Nautis trial lasts 14 days and takes no card. Nautis's flat price comes with limits on AI credits, routines and more, listed on the pricing page. GoExpand's pricing page says AI and transcription are included, but we didn't see usage limits stated. Ask about those if you plan to lean on them.

Getting started on each

  • Help on the way in. GoExpand helps you configure teams, seats, scorecards and meetings, invites your leaders, and prepares the first meeting. That is real support at this price, and it's free for every account. Nautis setup is self-serve: Liftoff takes about four minutes, and then you fill in the workspace.
  • Trying before committing. GoExpand has a public sandbox and a product tour, so you can look around before signing up. Nautis offers the trial.
  • Coaches and implementers. GoExpand runs a public partner pilot where coaches and EOS Implementers can put their brand on the platform. Nautis has no equivalent in the guides.
  • Your first week. GoExpand aims at your first successful meeting. The Nautis aim is your first useful Chief of Staff briefing, which depends on how much data you have added by then.

Two companies, two choices

A 60-person contracting firm on EOS

This company has branches, managers and a leadership team that meets weekly. It has accounting software and doesn't raise venture money. GoExpand fits: it brings the leadership meeting, role-specific measures and reviews into one place. Nautis would be wrong on three counts: it stops at 25 team members on its largest startup plan, teaches no method, and spends much of its value on fundraising modules this firm won't touch.

A six-person seed startup with a raise coming

This company has no managers to coach yet. The founder tracks investors in a sheet, doesn't know the exact runway, and misses invoices. Nautis fits at $99 a month on Voyage, since Launch stops at five members. A GoExpand setup would be cheap at about $78 a month, by our arithmetic, but it would organize a leadership rhythm that a six-person team can hold in a morning conversation. It wouldn't touch the raise.

Between those two is a 30-person Series A company that has started feeling strain. That is a genuine toss-up, and the answer often is both, with GoExpand holding the leadership rhythm and Nautis holding investor and finance records. Agree in advance where tasks live.

What a leadership team won't get from Nautis

Beyond the method, Nautis has less to offer anyone who cares about team discipline. It has no shared weekly ritual, and no system that brings a lagging number to a meeting where people must deal with it. Its briefing works as an early warning for whoever reads it, and that doesn't make a team more accountable by itself.

It's also younger. Its Product Hunt launch was in July 2026, and few people outside the company have reviewed it yet. GoExpand's pages describe years of work with leadership teams behind the product. Its human support, including escalation for implementation questions, is also more than a self-serve product can promise.

Which should you choose?

  • Choose GoExpand if you run EOS or your own system, have managers who need coaching, or have more than 25 people. Also look at Nautis vs Ninety and Nautis vs Bloom Growth for other tools in that group.
  • Choose Nautis if you are a pre-seed to Series A startup, you handle money and investors yourself, and you want AI that reads across those records with approvals. Our Series A page covers where it starts to strain.
  • Wait if you have no leadership team yet. A method for meetings can come later. How to implement a business OS in 30 days explains what to do when you get there.

FAQ

Which is better in Nautis vs GoExpand for a company running EOS?

GoExpand. It is an Official Licensee with EOS terminology, Rocks, Level 10 Meetings, Issues and the Accountability Chart. Nautis has no EOS tooling and doesn't enforce any framework.

How much does GoExpand cost?

As of October 2026, it charges $12.97 a user a month for 5 to 20 users, $11.97 for 21 to 100, $10.97 for 101 to 150, $9.97 for 151 to 250, and $8.97 for 251 or more. There is one plan, with a 30-day trial and free assisted onboarding. The billing cycle isn't stated on the page.

Do I have to run EOS to use GoExpand?

No. Its Universal setup uses general labels, or you can configure the platform around your own operating language and cadence. The pricing is the same either way.

Does GoExpand do performance reviews?

Yes. It lists reviews, check-ins, feedback, recognition, assessments and pulse surveys, plus AI guidance for 1:1s based on behavioral profiles. The Nautis guides don't cover a performance review module.

Can Nautis handle fundraising and GoExpand can't?

Nautis has a Fundraising CRM, investor readiness, deck analyzer and cap table on Voyage and Fleet. GoExpand's pages don't list fundraising tools. That doesn't prove it can't track such work as goals or projects, but it isn't what the product is for.
