Prio at prio.sh calls itself the personal agent for founders and CEOs. Both products borrow the language of a chief of staff, both ask before they send, and both hand you something to read in the morning. That overlap makes them look closer than they are.
Prio attaches itself to one person's mail, calendar and documents. Nautis is a place where a small company keeps its records, with a Chief of Staff reading across them. Everything about Prio below comes from its own site, read in October 2026. Nobody here has run either product through a scored test.
One person's inbox, or a company's records?
Start with what breaks first in your week. If you lose hours to triage, scheduling and walking into meetings unprepared, Prio is aimed squarely at that. You connect Outlook or Gmail and your calendar, and it sorts mail, drafts replies in your tone, moves meetings and writes a brief before each call. Your CRM, your Notion and your Slack stay where they are, and Prio reads them.
If the trouble is that nobody can say what the runway is, which investors went quiet, or whether the overdue invoice from March got chased, a personal agent only helps so far. Those facts need a home first. Nautis supplies the home: task boards, a fundraising CRM, Startup Health, invoices, expenses and a leads pipeline, all in one workspace.
The practical test is what you would do on day one. With Prio you connect an account and start approving drafts. With Nautis, you bring a website or pitch deck to the Liftoff setup, connect Google or Microsoft, and then keep adding records, because a briefing skips any source with no data in it.
How much freedom does each one get?
Both start cautious, and they widen the agent's freedom in different ways. Each design has a cost.
Prio: earned, pattern by pattern
Every email and invite with your name on it waits for your approval from the first day. Once you have decided on the same kind of work 20 times in 90 days and said yes at least 80% of the time, Prio asks whether it may prepare the next ones itself. You still confirm before anything goes out. You can also mark trusted people as always allowed, and its pages say public posts and phone calls always ask first. Small internal steps, such as a note in your CRM or an event only you attend, run without asking.
Nautis: set by an admin, capability by capability
Owners and admins open Settings, then Agent Autonomy, and pick Ask every time or Run without asking for each capability. The default is to ask. Automatic actions are logged in AI Activity and can be undone within 10 minutes where supported, and deleting records always asks. Requests wait in the Approval Center with a plain summary and the exact details. See human-in-the-loop AI agents for how to think about this choice.
Prio's approach suits one person who wants trust to build from their own behaviour. The Nautis approach suits a company where a founder wants one rule for everybody's agents. Either way, someone has to read the queue, so neither is hands-off.

A Thursday board call, handled by each
Say you run a 12-person seed startup with a board call on Thursday at 10:00. A lead investor has asked for updated numbers by Wednesday night, and you have a 1:1 clashing with the call.
- Prio's route. Its look-ahead picks up the meeting days early and offers to start prep. On the morning, a brief lists who is coming, what is still open and which documents sit behind it. The reply to the investor waits as a draft in your own mailbox, and the moved 1:1 waits for your approval because it changes someone else's calendar.
- The Nautis route. The 7:00 am briefing shows runway from Startup Health, deals that moved, approvals waiting and today's meetings. You ask Commodore for the pipeline movement this quarter. The numbers come from records your team already keeps, so an out-of-date invoice or board shows up too. Do it on an item creates a card for you to approve, unless autonomy allows that action.
- Where each stops. Prio can only report what lives in the mail, files and tools you connected, so a burn figure that nobody wrote down stays missing. Nautis won't watch your personal thread with that investor unless the mailbox is connected, and its guides don't describe rearranging your calendar around focus time the way Prio does.
If most of your pain sits in the first half of that story, buy the personal agent. If it sits in not having the numbers at all, fix the records first.
What does each cost per month?
Prio bills per plan in euros, monthly, with a daily limit on requests, and the pages we read don't price per seat. Nautis bills per plan in dollars, with a monthly limit on AI credits. These are list prices as of October 2026, and we haven't converted currencies because rates move.
| Prio | What it adds | Nautis | What it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter, €29 | 30 requests a day, triage, calendar, tasks, briefings, voice notes | Launch, $49 | 5 team members, 1,000 AI credits, 5 routines, 1 mailbox |
| Pro, €79 | 100 requests a day, contact management, LinkedIn tools, voice calling, automations, Slack and Notion | Voyage, $99 | 10 members, 2,000 credits, 10 routines, 2 mailboxes, cap table |
| Business, €199 | Unlimited requests, invoice OCR, GitHub, bots across Slack, Telegram and Teams | Fleet, $129 | 25 members, 2,600 credits, 15 routines, 5 mailboxes, cap table |
| Enterprise, contact sales | Price not published | Above Fleet | Not a published startup plan |
Prio's trial runs 14 days and asks for a card, with nothing charged until day 14 and a 30-day money-back guarantee after that. Nautis offers a 14-day trial with no card and has no free tier. Its yearly plans give 2 months free, while Prio says it has no annual contracts.
A note if you research Prio: a machine-readable file on its site (llms.txt) shows a different price list, starting at €79. The homepage, its FAQ and its about page give €29 as the entry price, and the homepage and FAQ list €29, €79 and €199, so we used those.
Where Prio is ahead
- It works where you already work. Replies go out from your own address, invites land in your own calendar, and notes land in your own CRM. You don't move a thing.
- Personal depth. Focus time rules, travel and meeting buffers, voice dictation, and recall of last year's birthdays and renewals are all described in detail. The Nautis guides don't cover focus time protection.
- A clear position on Europe. It states EU hosting in Frankfurt, a contract against model training, and support for four European languages. If that is a buying requirement, it is a real reason to choose it.
- A lower entry price. €29 is less than the $49 Launch plan, and it needs no team or data entry to start paying back.
- Mobile approvals. An iPhone app in public beta lets you approve from a notification or the lock screen. Nautis offers approvals over WhatsApp, but that channel isn't available on every workspace yet.
What Nautis covers that Prio's pages don't list
A company-wide view is the main thing you get. The briefing covers tasks, pipeline, runway, overdue invoices, burnout check-ins and decision reviews, because those records live in the same product. On the pages we read, Prio doesn't list a fundraising pipeline, data rooms, document signing, an employee directory with pay runs, or a leads pipeline with stages and forecasts as things it holds itself. Its model is to read those from other tools, such as Attio.
Nautis has its own weak spots here. Its public launch came only in July 2026, so independent reviews are scarce. It goes wide, so a dedicated CRM or cap table tool will go deeper. It also asks more of you up front: moving records into it is real work, and a half-filled workspace gives you a thin briefing. The briefing is also per organization, so it won't tell you your own personal day in the way Prio does.
Prio or Nautis: making the call
- Pick Prio if you are a founder or executive whose systems already work and whose own inbox and calendar are the bottleneck, especially in Europe.
- Pick Nautis if you are pre-seed to Series A, the records are scattered, and you are about to raise. Our guide for seed-stage startups shows what that looks like.
- Use both if you like. They don't compete for the same data: Prio could keep your own mailbox clean while Nautis holds the company's records. Keep tasks in one of them only, or you will maintain two lists.
- Consider neither if you are two people talking all day. A shared doc and an assistant you already pay for may be enough for now. See what an AI chief of staff can't do before you buy any of these.
FAQ
What is the main difference in Nautis vs Prio?
Prio is a personal agent that works through one person's email, calendar and documents. Nautis is a company workspace with fundraising, finance, sales and team modules and a Chief of Staff reading across them. Most buyers can tell which they need by asking whether their problem is personal admin or scattered company records.
How much does Prio cost?
As of October 2026, its site lists Starter at €29, Pro at €79 and Business at €199 a month, with Enterprise on request. Every plan starts with a 14-day trial that asks for a card. A 30-day money-back guarantee applies after the trial.
Does Prio send emails without asking?
Its site says nothing is sent without your approval by default. After 20 decisions in 90 days at 80% approval or more, it asks whether it may prepare that kind of work itself, and you still confirm before sending. You can also mark people you trust as always allowed.
Does Nautis work in Outlook like Prio does?
Differently. Nautis connects Gmail, Outlook or IMAP mailboxes into its own MailBox inbox, and you work there. Prio works in your existing mailbox, placing drafts there for you to approve.
Can Prio replace a fundraising CRM?
Its pages describe tracking intros, term sheets and follow-ups from your threads, and drafting investor updates. They don't list a dedicated fundraising pipeline of its own. If you want deals, stages and investor readiness in one module, the Nautis Fundraising CRM or a dedicated tool is closer to that job.
