Calculators
What it does
A library of 32 interactive calculators for founders: valuation, SAFE notes, runway, unit economics, stock options, hiring costs, marketing payback, and more. Each one sits next to a short guide that explains what it measures and how to use it. Save a calculation to come back to it later, and star the ones you use most.
Who can use it
- Anyone in your organization, as long as the Calculators module is enabled for your organization.
- If you don't see Calculators in the sidebar, it isn't available to your organization or your role. Ask your Owner or an Admin.
Where to find it
From the sidebar, open Resources & Others and click Calculators.
Find a calculator
- Use Search calculators… to search by name, description, or category.
- Or pick a category on the left. All calculators shows everything, grouped by category, and each entry shows how many calculators it holds:
- Fundraising & Cap Table (8): Startup Valuation Calculator, SAFE Note Dilution Calculator, Cap Table Simulator, Exit Waterfall Calculator, Liquidation Preference Calculator, Pro-rata Investment Calculator, Founder Secondary Calculator, Convertible Note vs SAFE Comparator.
- SaaS Metrics (9): Runway & Burn Rate Calculator, CAC, LTV & Payback Calculator, TAM / SAM / SOM Calculator, Burn Multiple Calculator, Rule of 40 Calculator, Magic Number Calculator, Net Revenue Retention Calculator, Quick Ratio Calculator, Gross Margin Calculator.
- Tax & Equity (4): Employee Stock Options Calculator, AMT / ISO Exercise Calculator, 83(b) Election Calculator, Vesting Schedule Visualizer.

- Click a card to open that calculator.
If nothing matches, you'll see No calculators found: "Try a different search or category."
Run a calculation
- Open a calculator and fill in its fields.
- Read your results in the calculator.
- Scroll down for the guide: what the calculator measures, Why this matters for founders & operators, How to use this calculator, and an FAQ.
- Click the back arrow at the top to return to the list.
Save a calculation and reopen it
- In the calculator, click Save calculation. You'll see "Calculation saved to your history".
- The Saved calculations panel lists your saved runs for that calculator, with the date, time, and key results.
- Click Open on a run to load its values back into the calculator.
- Click the trash icon to delete a run.
The Cap Table Simulator doesn't have Save calculation. Use Copy shareable link to keep a link to your scenario instead.
Keep your favorites close
- Hover a calculator's card and click the star, or click the star at the top of an open calculator.
- Starred calculators appear under Favorites on the left.
- Click the star again to remove one.
Tips & limits
- Saved calculations and favorites belong to you. Teammates don't see them.
- Nautis keeps your 50 most recent saved runs for each calculator. Saving another removes the oldest.
- On a phone, the search box and categories come first. Use All categories to get back to them from a list.
Frequently asked questions
Can my team see my saved calculations?
No. Each person sees only their own saved runs and favorites.
Why did an old saved calculation disappear?
Each calculator keeps your 50 most recent runs. Once you save more than that, the oldest is removed.
Why can't I save in the Cap Table Simulator?
It doesn't have Save calculation. Click Copy shareable link and keep that link.
Is the Cap Table Simulator the same as my real cap table?
No. It's a standalone calculator for trying out scenarios. To manage your actual stakeholders and rounds, use Cap table.
